Knowing that I have a sweet tooth and how much I love macarons, Hubby bought a box of macarons from Paul in Dubai International Airport. PAUL is a French family bakery and patisserie which has been around since 1889, and now has 40 bakery-patisseries across the world.
These mini macarons were a real treat. It was a pity they got slightly broken in transit, but texture and taste-wise, they were great. Each box consists of 12 mini macarons in 6 different flavours. Flavours include coco (coconut), chocolat (chocolate), caramel, citron (lemon), pistache (pistachio) and framboise (raspberry). The fillings were all distinctive, so we could tell what they were even without looking at the list. I have already put in a request for more the next time Hubby passes by Dubai ;)
Beautiful colours :)

It's never a good idea to have a heavy meal before a long flight, however if you find yourself with more than a few hours to fill at an airport shopping or dining are usually called upon to utilize the time. Salad provide a good meal option at airports, recently I selected the tomato mozzarella salad from PAUL while transiting in Dubai Airport.
The salad consisted of a large portion of lettuce leaves topped with tomato and mozzarella slices. The portions of tomato and mozzarella were generous enough to enable the tomato and mozzarella to be enjoyed together without any accompanying greenery before eventually tossing the remainder of the tomato and mozzarella slices in with the leaves and enjoying the salad as a whole. An additional side dressing was served to season the leaves if desired.
Lots of delicious looking pastries and cakes line the counters at PAUL, see above for the box of macarons I got for Baby Sumo and the kids.
Looks promising
Cutie - going on holiday or work? ;)
Price: Can't remember exactly how much the macarons were, but the macarons, salad and a bottle of water costs AED80 (approx. RM68).
Location: PAUL, Dubai International Airport, Concourse C.
